Personal Data and Privacy Policy
In the course of using the Services, you will provide personal information, which may include health and biometric data. suPAR Health will collect, store, and process this personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws (including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for users in the EEA, UK data protection laws for UK users, etc.) and our Privacy Policy (incorporated herein by reference). By agreeing to this EULA and using the Services, you also agree to the terms of the Privacy Policy. We strongly encourage you to read the Privacy Policy to understand how we handle your data.
Use of Your Data for Services
Your personal information and blood sample data will be used by suPAR Health to provide you with the Services – for example, to perform the laboratory analysis, generate your biomarker Results, and display them to you in your secure account. We may also use your contact information to communicate with you about account matters, results availability, updates, and offers related to suPAR Health Services.
Research and De-identified Data
suPAR Health is committed to advancing biomarker science. By using the Services, you consent that your test data and self-reported information may be used in an anonymized or aggregated form for suPAR Health’s research and product improvement purposes. Any such use will not include information that identifies you personally. For example, suPAR Health may include your biomarker readings (with no names or direct identifiers) in large datasets to study population health trends or to validate and improve the suPAR test’s accuracy. You will not be owed any compensation for such research use, and all intellectual property and discoveries arising from such research are the property of suPAR Health. (If you opt into specific research studies with additional consent, those terms will apply as well, but this section covers general background use of data).
Data Sharing with Third Parties.
suPAR Health will not share your identifiable personal information or individual Results with any third party without your explicit consent, except in the following cases: (a) with trusted service providers under strict confidentiality (for example, laboratories or cloud data storage providers) as necessary to operate the Services – in such cases, they are bound by data protection obligations; (b) as required by law, regulation, or valid legal process (such as to comply with a court order or government investigation); or (c) to protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property, or that of others (for example, disclosing information to prevent serious harm).
User’s Responsibilities for Privacy.
Protecting your account credentials and personal data is partly your responsibility. You agree to keep your suPAR Health account login information confidential and secure. Do not share your account with others. You also understand that if you choose to share your biomarker information with others (including healthcare providers or on social media), that information may become publicly known or used by those third parties. We urge caution in sharing sensitive health information: once shared by you, suPAR Health cannot control how others may use or interpret your data. (See Section 9.3 on potential risks of sharing results).
Data Access and Deletion.
You have rights to access and delete your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy and applicable law. You may request a copy of your personal information or deletion of your account by contacting us as described in the Privacy Policy. Please note that deletion of data may be subject to certain exceptions (for example, we may retain de-identified data or any data we are legally required to keep for a certain time). Deletion of your account will terminate your access to the Services and results.
